Each year, Zoe hosts a prom for 9th to 12th grade homeschooled students.
It’s always a fun, memorable evening!
Friday April 24th, 2020
Prom is open to all homeschool students ages 14 to 20 and in 9th-12th grade. Each homeschool student may invite other 9th to 12th grade homeschooled guests and one non-homeschooled guest (must be under 21 years of age).
Teens may request songs from the pre-approved list provided at the prom.
The prom is a formal occasion. Modest, appropriate prom attire should be worn.
Gentlemen: Suit; tuxedo; or dress slacks, buttoned-up shirt, tie and jacket. No jeans, no t-shirts.
Ladies: Modest formal wear; All dresses should have straps (spaghetti and clear are fine), whether worn with or without a sweater. One strap is acceptable as long as it holds the dress up. All necklines should cover cleavage. The dress should not be backless or “see-through”. It should not have cut-outs or nude underlays or a bare midriff. Entire hemlines should come to within 3 inches above the knee including skirt slits.
These standards are set for modesty and comfort, especially for the dance floor.
The dress code will be enforced.
I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
1 Timothy 2:9-10
